The seeds for the Victoria Street Alive! project were sown in August/September 2018.

A group of residents developed a project to renew our local shopping and restaurant precinct in Victoria Street, Richmond and Abbotsford. Victoria Street Alive! was the result.

The subsequent grant application to the state government was unsuccessful.

Undeterred, residents continued to develop the Victoria Street Alive! concept.

In April 2021, Victoria Street Alive! was one of 12 projects that was successful in receiving a state government grant as part of the North Richmond Precinct Project renewal scheme.

Victoria Street Alive! activates community led, inclusive events and activities that revitalise the Victoria Street precinct.

Victoria Street Alive! creates events, activities and spaces where people engage, meet and learn, where ideas take shape, collaborations are ignited and partnerships are developed.

Victoria Street Alive! celebrates the cultural and artistic richness that defines this community.
